Custom Shapes
At Little Harbor Window Company, custom shaped
windows are our specialty. These beautiful windows can be
made to operate as double-hung, casement, or tilt-turn type
windows as well as fixed and pivoting. When designing a
custom shape to operate like a standard shape, we use as
many common components as possible to keep the same
appearance in both windows.
DOUBLE-HUNG WINDOW
Double-hung windows can be built with either a true radius
or ellipse head as well as curved on the cord of the window.
With either shape we can use the following hardware:
Weight and Pulley – either chain or rope
Concealed Block and Tackle Balance
Tape Reel Balance
Vinyl Jamb Liner
Note: Most custom shaped double-hung windows can be
made with both sash operable. However, some shapes
restrict the ability to have the top sash operate.
PROJECTION STYLE WINDOWS
Although most custom shapes can be made to function as
either an inswing or outswing window, there are certain
limitations; i.e. you can make a half-round as an inswing
hopper window, but you cannot make it an outswing
awning. We also suggest making your circular and oval
windows operate with pivoting hardware.
