At Little Harbor Window Company, we can provide all of the glazing options for
your project. Listed below is a glossary of terms we use in describing glazing
construction and glass types.
• Authentic Divided Lite (ADL) Traditional mortise and tenon joinery using
individual pieces of single pane glass with choice of putty glazing or wood stops.
• True Divided Lite (TDL) Traditional mortise and tenon joinery using
individual pieces of insulated glass and wood stops.
• Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) The latest technology using one piece of glass,
either insulated or single pane, with grilles applied directly to the glass on the
interior and exterior. On insulated glass SDL windows we incorporate an internal
metal spacer to simulate individual panes of glass. Available spacer colors are;
Light Bronze(Champagne), Dark Bronze and Mill Finish
• Note: On some radius units, internal metal spacers are not available.
• Direct Glaze (DG) Contemporary style of glazing where the glass is glazed
directly to a frame without using a sash.
In recent years the glass industry has come of age. New coatings and gases
designed to reduce heat transfer and UV fading as well as sound deadening
properties has become a standard offering from Little Harbor Window Company.
We also offer high impact glass and engineered muntin systems to withstand high
wind velocity.
Below is a partial list of products available. The list is always increasing, so
please feel free to inquire about new options.

Low-E (emissivity) UV reduction and heat retention
